A LITTLE RELIEF FOR THE FRONT LINE

Your front desk has
enough on its plate.

The phone rings. A patient checks in. Another needs to reschedule. Your team is doing their best to be in three places at once.

TalkIntake is being built to take on routine phone workflows, gather the right details, and keep staff in the loop. A helpful first point of contact, with your people at the center.

SUPPORT FOR YOUR TEAM

Helpful by design.
Human when it matters.

Good patient communication is about knowing when to listen, what to ask, and when to bring in a person.

  • 01

A conversation, not a phone tree.

Short turns, natural follow-up questions, and space for patients to speak.

  • 02

    Identity before details.

The prototype checks patient identity before discussing appointment or health information.

  • 03

A clear path to your staff.

Messages and transfer workflows keep requests that need a person connected to your team.

A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING

Let’s clear
things up.

Have another question?
Who is TalkIntake for?

Medical practices exploring an AI phone assistant for inbound patient calls, appointment scheduling, intake, and outbound reminders. We start by understanding your front-desk workflow and where your staff needs support.

How do patients use TalkIntake?

Everything happens in a phone call. Patients speak with TalkIntake to schedule appointments and complete intake; TalkIntake also makes outbound reminder and follow-up calls. Patients do not need to use a chatbot or online scheduler. The sample above is a written transcript of an illustrative phone conversation.

Can I try it with my practice?

TalkIntake is in development. Reach out to discuss a demonstration and whether an early pilot fits your practice. Initial demonstrations use fictional patient information.

Does it connect to our EHR?

The current prototype uses a demonstration backend. Athenahealth sandbox integration is planned; a live production integration is not yet available. We’ll discuss your EHR, permissions, and required workflows before agreeing to any pilot.

How are privacy and security handled?

The prototype supports running speech and language models locally. Production use requires a deployment-specific privacy and security review, appropriate agreements with vendors handling patient information, and validated access controls. We are not claiming HIPAA certification or production readiness.

What happens when a patient needs a person?

The prototype includes staff messaging and call-transfer workflows. Routing rules, destinations, and escalation behavior need to be configured and tested for each practice. TalkIntake does not replace clinical judgment or emergency services.
